ABOUR LAW JOURNAL has completed 56 years of reporting, conforming to high standards of accuracy and strict disciplines of law reporting, promptness and neat execution. INTRODUCTION OF STATUTE & ARTICLE SECTION We are pleased to inform our esteemed subscribers that with effect from January 2001 we have introduced “Statute section” and “Articles section”. We aspire to cover almost all the important Acts, Rules, Regulations and Notifications including the Amendments made thereunder issued by the Central Government on Labour and Industrial Laws. We are sure subscribers will appreciate the service and will bring to our notice the shortcomings, if any, to further improve “Statute Section”. We welcome your further suggestions.

RENEWAL OF ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION : GENERAL NOTE FOR THE SUBSCRIBERS Due to heavy spurt of judgments of the Supreme Court and various High Courts on Labour and Services matters and also due to increase in the cost of paper and other services, the annual subscription for the year 2006 is Rs. 2000/- for 3 Volumes by Ordinary Book Post and Rs. 200/- extra for Registered Post despatches. To avoid miscarriage, wrong delivery and loss in transit, subscribers are to opt for the despatch of copies by Registered Post, for which an additional yearly payment of Rs. 200/- has to be paid (subject to any modifications of rates by the Postal Department) along with the annual subscription. In case the subscription is sent for the parts to be despatched by Ordinary Post, please note that the publishers shall not be responsible for miscarriage, wrong delivery or loss in transit and the parts shall be sent at the sole risk of the subscriber and no complaint shall be entertained for such loss.

Subscriptions are payable in ADVANCE at Chennai, either by MONEY ORDER/CHEQUE/ DEMAND DRAFT payable on any Bank at Chennai. Payment by Demand Draft or Money Order is commended for avoiding delay in the posting of issue. In case of payments made by outstation cheques, we will be able to despatch the monthly parts only after realisation of cheques as per our Bank advice. If, however payment is made by outstation cheques Rs. 50/- may please be added as additional amount to meet Bank collection charges. Subscribers are requested to quote their subscription number in all their correspondence.

P.S. Please note that if any supplementary/extra Volume is issued after 3 Volumes the same will be charged extra. NO VPP WILL BE SENT TO COLLECT SUBSCRIPTIONS. SUBSCRIBERS ARE REQUESTED TO PERMIT THEIR SUBSCRIPTION BY CROSSED BANK DRAFT/CHEQUES/MONEY ORDER.
